Barb Brooke
Davis designs hand-dyed vintage textile art. By incorporating her love of
collecting vintage textiles and dyeing fabric, she creatively stitches and
assembles works of 3-dimensional art.
Barb has a B.S.
degree from Ball State University and studied Textile Art at the Indianapolis
Art League. She currently studies mixed media collage with Dixie Ferrer and
Linda Meyer-Wright in Nashville.
Barb is a member of Art Alliance Brown County and Brown County Craft Guild.
Barb moved to
Brown County in 1980 and opened The Fabric Addict. The gallery shop featured
fiber art created by quilting, batik, hand dyeing, silk screening, hand painting
and applique. During the next 25 years, Barb sold the shop and had several other
retail, wholesale and antique ventures. Now "retired from retail," she spends
quality time with her stash of old fabrics, dyes and embellishments in her
Village Green Building studio and enjoys being a true "fabric addict." |
